The FSPC Library is moving!
As you may have heard by now, the CSPC and FSPC will be moving out of our current location on September 15, 2016. As packing up the FSPC Library for an organized move is a big undertaking, we will be closing the library to patrons and suspending operations as of August 15, 2016. We are also beginning late fee amnesty as of August 10, 2016 to encourage everyone to please return any materials they still have checked out.
You may continue to return materials during our closure. We will be maintaining our current volunteer shift schedule and adding more shifts – these shifts will be spent preparing the library for the move. We are opening volunteer shifts to everyone, no special training required.
We thank you for your support of the FSPC Library and look forward to seeing you in our new location soon!
We achieve our mission in part by maintaining and expanding our library. The FSPC Library has a broad collection of over 15,000 pieces—many rare and unusual—and is one of the largest of its kind in the world.
Our collection includes fiction, nonfiction and pulp-fiction books; magazines and periodicals; and comics and pictorials. There are carefully preserved reference and special collection books. In addition, there is a large media and pornography section.
Topics include human sexuality; sexual techniques; sacred sexuality; BDSM, polyamory, swinging, nudism and other sexual activities and practices; sexual health; gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and queer topics related to sexuality; erotic literature; photography and other images; sexual entertainment; sexual politics; body modification; and more.
Using the Library
The Library is open to the public (18+), with space for on-site reading and researching. It is organized by the Library of Congress system, and trained librarians will be on duty to assist you.
Patrons of the Library can check out materials for up to four weeks. Library cards are free to members of the CSPC. For the public, library cards cost $20.00 per year.

Donating to the Library
We accept cash contributions as well as in-kind item donations. Our wish list of items needed for the Library can be found here.
Item donations to the library may be tax deductible.
Donated books and other items intended for the collection are professionally cataloged by the congressional system and are preserved in an orderly and safe environment.
Drop off small donations directly at the Library. For larger donations or items on our wish list, please contact us ahead of time to make arrangements.
The Library is housed at the Center for Sex Positive Culture. It is located at 1608 15th Ave. W., Seattle, WA 98119. The entrance is on the north side of the building.
