Suspension Bondage is beautiful and intense. Come learn two beautiful and iconic shibari suspension forms with Seattle Shibari: Hikyaku Tsuri(‘Postman Suspension’) and Agura Tsuri (‘Seated/Lotus Suspension’)!

In this four hour workshop, we’ll review the hands-free chest harness and 2-rope gote shibari (‘box tie’), and then learn and practice these two beautiful suspensions. We’ll also review:

  • Basic Top Line Techniques
  • Line Management
  • Safety Issues

Class Prerequisites: This is an advanced/301 level workshop. Students should be able to competently tie a hands-free chest harness or a 2-rope TK/Gote Shibari, and should be fully comfortable and proficient with fundamental suspension line tying and management. If you choose to use a TK/Gote Shibari, the instructor will examine your tie; if he feels it unsafe for use, you will be invited to use a hands-free chest harness instead for safety. If solid fundamental knowledge of top line management is not demonstrated by a student, the student may be invited to observe rather than tie.

This workshop is appropriate for all genders, sexual orientations, and body types. To ensure personal attention to each participant, class size will be limited to 8 duos. Due to the small class size, early registration is highly recommended.

Due to the detailed technical nature of this workshop, one person per pair will tie. No late entry will be allowed due to the nature of this workshop. Doors will be locked at 10 minutes after the start time.
