The Foundation for Sex Positive Culture invites you to celebrate and explore your sexuality.

Mission and Sex Positive Vision

The Foundation for Sex Positive Culture promotes personal and cultural acceptance of consensual sexuality through education and the arts.

Our goal is to move society past tolerance into acceptance of consensual sexuality as a healthy, integral part of being human. We support people in finding the type and amount of sexual pleasure that is right for them, respecting the spectrum from asexual to omnisexual. We aim to create a better world by promoting respectful interaction through consent education.

Structure and Foundation Leadership

As a 501c3, we are eligible for tax benefits, matching contributions and grant funding, and donations may be tax deductible. We are run by a board of directors.

Offerings, Activities and Outreach

Come enjoy a broad range of fun, educational and cultural events.

We offer sexy workshops every month, from beginner level classes to advanced techniques. Renowned educators come from all over the nation to teach a delightful array of topics.

We host many regular monthly events — from erotic massage, to nude drawing classes, to social and support groups — where you can connect with others and explore your interest in a welcoming space.

We offer free, open library time in our Pacific Northwest Library for Sex Positive Culture, which has a broad collection of over 10,000 pieces – many rare and unusual – and is one of the largest of its kind.

We produce special events, participate in national conferences, and collaborate with sex positive organizations like our sister nonprofit the Center for Sex Positive Culture, Gay City, Three Dollar Bill Cinema, and more. We also participate in Seattle festivals like the Capitol Hill Block Party and Pride, host regular forums at local colleges and universities, and participate in radio talk shows.

Perhaps the greatest marker of our success is the now internationally recognized Seattle Erotic Art Festival, founded in 2002 to celebrate and promote freedom of sexuality, speech and creativity through the erotic expression of fine art.

Every year the Festival showcases a world-class visual art exhibition, glittering performances, interactive installations, erotic short film exhibition, captivating literary art, workshops and presentations, vibrant after-parties, and so much more. The Festival has also expanded to produce other spectacular events throughout the year.
