The Sacred Sexuality Meet-Up welcomes people of all genders, orientations, spiritual paths, and experience levels to explore the many ways our sexual and spiritual lives intersect and nurture each other. Whether you are new to sacred sexuality or a long-time practitioner, please join us for February’s discussion: Why are Pain & Kink interesting doors to sexuality and onward to spirituality?
Joe Marinello, who describes himself as a “kink friendly, sex positive, bi psychotherapist in Seattle, with a 30 plus year background in both Eastern and Western mystic traditions” will give a short talk and then lead a discussion on this topic: “I share the view that sexual union is a foundational experience of spiritual union with that which is far greater than our sense of separated individuality. Moreover, pain and kink can definitely act as catalysts to ecstasy, power, and surrender, all of which are experienced in spiritual union.”
