On Tuesday December 3, 2013, global charities, families, businesses, community centers, students and more will come together to create #GivingTuesday.
It’s a simple idea. Just find a way for your family, your community, your company or your organization to come together to give something more. Then tell everyone you can about how you are giving. Be a part of a national celebration of our great tradition of generosity.
This year, the Foundation is participating in #GivingTuesday by hosting an Open House for those interested in learning how we are creating a sex positive culture within our society. Join us from 7pm until 9pm on Tuesday December 3rd in the FSPC Classroom for conversation, complementary wine and a chance to meet board members and key personnel of our art and education programs.
One of our goals for this #GivingTuesday is to get feedback from you as we move into the planning of the 2014 Seattle Erotic Art Festival. A way that you can help us give back is to share your ideas for how the Festival can be a positive force in how sexuality is viewed is the world.
Other ways you can give on Tuesday:
(Or any day!)
[li]Buy a Raffle ticket from one our Board members. They are $5 each and the prizes we have are truly decadent! [/li]
[li]Make a donation to the Foundation. As a 501(c)3 non-profit, your donations are tax deductible. [/li]
[li]Use Amazon Smile for all your regular Amazon shopping and indicate you want the Foundation for Sex Positive Culture to be your benefit charity! [/li]
[li]If your employer matches donations, be sure to turn in your match requests. [/li]
What is #GivingTuesday, you ask?
#GivingTuesday™ is a movement to create a national day of giving to kick off the giving season added to the calendar on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Cyber Monday. The second annual GivingTuesday is on December 3, 2013. In the same way that retail stores take part in Black Friday, we want the giving community to come together for #GivingTuesday. We ask that partners create and commit to a project for/on #GivingTuesday and then help spread the word to their networks.
